Openpane turns HTML, React and Markdown from any AI into a live page at its own link, private until you share it. Connect your AI once, then ask it for anything better seen than read.

How it works

  1. Sign in

Sign in with your email, and Openpane sends you a link. It's in private beta with a limited number of member spots: when they're taken, your request to join is reviewed. Panes people share with you open as soon as you sign in.

  2. Connect your AI

Pick your AI on the API keys page. Openpane makes it a key, fills the key into each step and tells you when it connects, in about a minute. The same guides are under Connect your AI.

  3. Ask for a pane

Ask for anything better seen than read: a report, a dashboard, a chart, a small app. Your AI sends the source to Openpane and answers with the pane's link.

  4. Share it

Panes start private: only you can open them, signed in. Share one with people by email, or make it unlisted or public so anyone with the link can open it.

Things to ask

  • “Make me an Openpane pane with a React counter app.”
  • “Turn this CSV into a dashboard pane with a chart of sign-ups by week.”
  • “Write these meeting notes up as a Markdown pane.”
  • “Update that pane: put a summary at the top.”

Your AI picks HTML, React or Markdown for each pane (Pane types says what each can do), and updating a pane keeps its link.

What's a pane?

A pane is one page of HTML, React or Markdown at its own address, such as https://openpane.oblaidish.com/p/k7m2xq9fha. Every change saves a new version, and the link always shows the latest. Panes run in a sandbox on a separate domain, so a pane can't read your Openpane account, your cookies or the page around it.

Without an AI client

Anything that can send an HTTP request makes panes with the same key, through the REST API:

Terminalcurl
curl -s https://openpane.oblaidish.com/api/v1/panes -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"title":"Hello","type":"markdown","content":"# Hello from Openpane"}'

Or make one by hand: New pane in the dashboard takes a title and the source.
